Photovoltaic Power Generation and Application PPGA1

PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER GENERATION AND APPLICATION (PPGA1)

Who Should Attend The Course: The course content is tailored to prepare non-technical person, technicians, and engineers alike towards being self-reliance in the design, execution and maintenance of photovoltaic-related projects.  Acquisition of the knowledge prepares the student for immediate employment in a renewable energy blue-chip company or immediate take off of one’s company.  No further retaining will be required as the student will be exposed to virtually all foreseeable field experiences.

Course Duration: 2days
Course Location: Lagos

Course Description:

This course offers a general overview in primary design, installation and maintenance of a typical photovoltaic system. All the component parts of a photovoltaic installation will be analyzed with the aim of exposing the student to the function, installation and maintenance requirements.

The course is specially arranged to enhance best practices in the renewable energy business.  Safety is given paramount attention, where standards are emphasized and cannot be compromised.   Indeed good safety standards cannot be attained without strict observation of standards in materials, design, and construction.

PHOTOVOLTAIC APPLICATIONS DESIGN CONCEPTS
This course is an extension of ppga1. It exposes the student to the general application of photovoltaic power generation and power application design principles and fundamentals. The student is therefore, able to use all that was learned from ppga1 to apply to various settings as the need arises.

Video and laboratory teaching aids and practices with local assemblage will be applied to make the leanings faster. The course is also advised for those needing to attend ppga2 as added practical section of all the theories they may have acquired from their respective high schools and universities.

Typical Course Topics Include:

  • Solar for domestic application
  • Solar water pumping
  • Solar for rural clinics
  • Solar refrigeration(Cooling)
  • Solar for irrigation
  • Solar for schools and offices
